Though I'm firmly transplanted to San Francisco, my southern roots (and VA/GA accent) came with me and my favorite T-shirt says "I brake for boiled peanuts." People need to get over thinking of "The South" as some 19th century voting bloc, and instead promote the valuable qualities such as generosity and kindness so often found below the Mason-Dixon Line.
