Thanks so much for these comments, and for your hospice affirmation! I'm with your dad -- hospitals are for staying out of if you possibly can. (I have another story somewhere about fighting to keep my husband out of the ER. I won, and he died 4 days later in his own bedroom as he'd wished.)
