I've been enjoying that Times series, & it's fun to find you are too. I'm 91 and thus a LOT of friends my age are gone. But I have close friends a generation or two younger who share interests & activities, and we are regularly involved together in some nonprofit cause or other. I rarely go a week without meeting a few friends for coffee or a walk - that's 90% of what keeps me going.
