I so remember wanting to take shop - in the 40's!! - & having to take Home Ec which I nearly failed after unwisely attempting to make a slipcover. But I did buy my very own 1st car - Sammy the Dodge - for $300 in 1956 without a cosigner. Sad to see us staggering backwards into the dark days re reproductive choice; does NO ONE remember what those days were like?? Thanks for good piece!
