Couple of thoughts from a lifelong (octogenarian) writer: Just put down the first sentence that comes into your head -- "The sky is blue, . ." "why are those dishes still in the sink?". . . Let it sit for 3 minutes and then start writing, questioning why you wrote that sentence, what it means now, etc etc.

Or. Read page 2 (I still read print editions of NYTimes, local papers etc; you can use whatever news source you prefer as long as it's legit and not some kooky social media thing) and pick one story you found interesting, sad, alarming, encouraging, whatever. Write a letter to the reporter of that story, or to someone in that story about how and why it piqued your interest or touched your heart.

Hope that's useful. I come from a long line of stroke and other blood-pressure-related affected women and just count every day that I wake up healthy as a gift. Peace & blessings to you. Write on!
