Amen. The god of most religions (not all, but most, certainly including Christianity) is a loving creator whose concern is with justice & peace & care for the planet. And kindness and mercy and looking after each other. Sadly, She has been corrupted (by the overly 'religious') into something more akin to the patriarchal monster you describe.
